美國窮人數目創53年來最高

報告分析指出，一九八三年，美國家庭資產淨值的中位數是美金七萬三千元；前年縮至五萬七千元。可是同一時期，最富有的百分之一的家庭，淨值淨值由美金九百六十萬元上升至一千六百四十萬元。分析指出，這段時間，股價上升，收入不平等加劇，都使貧富差距加大。
