有圈內人士告訴記者，麥蒂來到中國後，不接受任何媒體的采訪，他的經紀團隊開出了明碼實價：一對一專訪5000元，而且是美金﹔群訪1000美金。從他登陸CBA[微博]後，衹接受過央視的一對一專訪，不過是青島俱樂部為麥蒂買了單。此後，麥蒂便從不對媒體開口。
